Time for a Change | New Nails #6

Hey lovelies!

Today I have a new blog post for you all, as you already know from the title it's a 'Time for a Change | New Nails' post. I feel like I just put one of these up but I feel like you guys love seeing my different nails so I thought I had to share it with you all either way.
So let's get straight into it....

I got my nails done at the beginning of this week because I could not even deal with how bad my last nails looked if you didn't catch them then check out my previous nail post here.
I felt that those nails got so chipped and dirty so quickly so I defo had to get them fixed and to my standards again.

Walking into my nail shop I had no idea what I was going to do to my nails I didn't want to change the shape yet because I only had it pointy once with one colour so I thought I had to do another colour.

I stick to nude colours a lot, I don't really like bright colours or designs I much prefer basic plain coloured nails so I was so drawn to this nude colour I currently have one. When I first did it I didn't really like it because it looked like a colour I had done before and I absolutely hate doing the same colour more than once but once it dried more it started to turn a bit more of a redish, pinky brown nudey colour (I'm so bad a describing this colour.. lol) and I started to love it more and more.

So these are my new nails, let me know what you think about this colour? do you like it or nah?
Thanks for reading!

Time for a Change | New Nails #5

Hey everyone,

My blogging schedule has been a bit all over the place recently, if you're a big reader of my blog you may have noticed that I'm trying to stick to a schedule where I blog every Thursday and Monday so I'm really going to try and stick to that so you guys know when new content will be up.

Today I'm doing a 'Time for a change | New nails' post. I haven't done one of these in so long but I thought I would come back with one and show you guys my new nails for the start of college.

I started college on Thursday so I went with my sister to get my nails done on a Wednesday, as you may know I usually wear acrylics then just get refills so because my nails were really grown out and long I decided I would change my shape from square to pointy.
I'm not much of  a big fan of pointy nails but I didn't want to waste them being that long so I decided on going pointy.

I didn't really have an idea as to what colour I wanted to paint my nails but I was kind of leaning towards just all white nails. My sister had airbrushed white nails before so she was kind of like why don't you airbrush it all white, especially cause it will last longer so I thought yeah I'll do that.
As they airbrushed it I decided that I didn't want it all white before she got all the way to the top and decided that I wanted it faded, mainly because I have never had my nails like this and quite liked it when my sister had it before.

So these are my new nails tell me what you think and whether you think that airbrushed nails last longer than just normal painted nails?
I hope you enjoyed this post and liked having them back on my blog

Time for a change | New nails #3

Hey girlies,
today I'm going to show you my new nails, that's part of my 'Time for a change' posts
On Saturday, me and my sister took a trip down to my nail shop to get a refill, after my Christmas nails I have been longing my ass off to change my nails mainly because I didn't really like them to begin with and they were quite boring.

As the time got closer and closer I was all over instagram and pinterest trying to find me some nail inspiration, I screenshot so many nail pictures on my phone that I liked, if you want to check out my nails board on pinterest just click here.

So I found these nails and honestly just loved them right away, at the nail shop I decided to keep the shape and length, however I wasn't to impressed with the way she changed the shape a bit and cut them down, although she didn't make them too short so they are still a decent length.

No surprise I got to the nail shop and couldn't find the exact colour or anything close to it so I opted for this light purple colour I also decided to do a matte because I had seen a lot of matte nails on instagram and pinterest and really loved them.

when the woman painted my nails she did 2 coats of the purple then a top coat and then applied the matte top coat to it, this really toned down the colour of the purple and made it look a lot more dull.

I really love my new nails, however I wasn't too impressed with the way she filed them and how much she cut them down also the nail is not smooth on top and you can see it through the nail polish
But still love 'em though!

Time for a change | New nails #2

Hey loves!

So I was suppose to publish this post ages ago but I've just been putting it off, but I have finally gotten around to doing it. so here we go...

Around 2 weeks ago I went and got a re-fill, some of you may know that I love getting my nails done and I get a re-fill like every 2-3 weeks.

Getting my nails done this time around I was looking to go for something really simple and without any type of design. Initially I wanted to go for a pastel lilac kind of colour and then I saw this colour that I thought was more of a grey-ish lilac colour.
I was so stuck and didn't know which colour to go for so I asked my sister who I always go nail shop with and she was like go for the grey-ish lilac colour.

So I decided to go with the grey-ish lilac. once she finished painting my nails I looked at them and I loved them however, the colour was just grey the hint of lilac I was seeing had now vanished but I didn't really mind it.

I really love this colour and I definitely feel that it gives that Autumn/Winter kind of feel, also the feeling of a fresh set of new nails feel so good!

I hope you liked this post, don't forget to leave a comment and tell me what you think about this colour and what colour I should do next.

Time for a Change | New nails #1

Hey girlie's!

I've got a new change for you guys. Recently I went and got myself a re-fill cause my nails were in some serious need of doing.

So I went and got my nails done with my sister, it cost me £15 to get a re-fill and because my previous nail cracked they don't charge you for a whole new nail like I know some places do.

When doing my nails I always try and do colours that I won't get bored with, this means that it takes a lot of time and energy before I decide what I want my nails to look like.
For my base colour I decided on a mint green colour and for my designs I decided on leopard print and a large triangle.

This time I tried my best to cut them down as much as possible so it doesn't grow out as quick.

To do the leopard print on my middle finger and pointing finger; firstly, she did the white spots in different places and did it quite messy and not in a sort of strategic order kind of thing then she used a thin black brush and outlined it and made a few dots in the spaces.

Then to achieve the triangle look on my ring finger and pinky she simply used the thin black brush and created a triangular shape down to the tip of my nail then used the same brush and coloured in the two sides.

So this is how I decided to do my nails this time around and look out for my next 'Time for a change post' on my nails that should be up in like a months time.
