Time for a change | New hair #3

Hey loves,

I'm back and yes I've changed my hair again, it feels like I only just recently typed up a 'Time for a Change | New Hair' post but it's all good.

The beginning of last week I changed my hair and I wanted to try something different that I had not done before so I decided to go for this hairstyle, I have in my hair crotchet braids there so easy to put in and take out literally all you need is some hair and a crotchet needle.

To do this hairstyle all you have to do is cornrow your hair underneath but you must bare in mind where you will want your parting to be I wanted a middle parting and a side part on my right side so when you cornrow your hair just ensure that you plaits are where you want to have your partings.
Next you'll need to take your hair and your crotchet needle and literally put them in starting from the back working your way to the front, it is so easy to do, I did this hairstyle by myself and it took me like less than an hour to install all the hair into my head.

For this hairstyle I used two packets of Marley braids, however I would advise you to use three packets if you want it to be more full. After I put all the hair in I used a paddle brush and brushed it out to give it that afro look and I do this every time I go out.
And I will tell you guys that this hair sheds so much but I'm not surprised it is synthetic hair so it is expected. and if you guys don't want to use Marley hair you can use something else I only used it cause it's what I know and I've seen it on other people so I know what it will look like.

I love this hairstyle so much its so light and looks so natural literally every single time I'm out I have people coming up to me and asking me if this is my real hair, or how do I get my hair so healthy.
I love this hair and I would recommend it to anyone.

I hope you guys like this new hairstyle

Time for a Change | New hair #2

Hey girlies!

I've got my second 'Time for a change | New hair' post for you guys I feel like it's been so long since I did my first one.

So here goes... before Christmas I wanted to purchase some hair, for Christmas and New Year and I had an idea of what I wanted, so I headed over to AliExpress, I am literally so particular when it comes to my hair, like I hate when I have a vision of what I want my hair to come out like and it just doesn't happen.

My hair inspiration for my hairstyle was the beautiful  Youtuber Beautybyjj, I saw her with this hairstyle on a couple of her instagram posts and in one of her videos and I literally fell in love straight away, before I had seen her with this hairstyle I had really wanted to do a hairstyle with a full fringe but I just thought it looked a bit childish, and a bit not me. So just from seeing this hairstyle I knew right away that I wanted to get straight hair.

I decided to get the Malaysian Straight I went quite long and got 20, 18, 16 , and 14 inches with a 12 inch free part closure, this all came up to £85.00 which I thought was really good for 4 bundles and a closure. I chose to get this hair simply because I've heard that Malaysian straight hair is really good hair especially for fringes.

Ordering the hair was very risky just because I ordered it on a Wednesday, but thank God the hair came on Monday, the week beginning of Christmas thanks to Jack (the seller) who really pushed and made sure the hair came in time honestly he was so helpful, he answered all my questions and really helped to get the hair here on time.

when the hair arrived, I started instantly, I washed each bundle with shampoo and put in some leave in conditioner, after that I didn't really wait until the bundles were completely dry just dry enough that it's not dripping wet. I then sewed the bundles onto a men's dome cap but first I measured out where my closure would go just so that I know where to stop and there is enough space.I didn't cut any of the tracks whilst sewing I literally just flipped it over whilst going back and forth.

I love this hair, it's so soft and silky there's minimal to no shedding and it doesn't really tangle this hair is so nice. the closure is perfect I hardly had to cut any of the hair for my fringe and the closure lays so flat.

I would so recommend this hair to anyone looking for a long, straight hairstyle, the seller, Jack was amazing! so helpful and was really determined on getting the hair here on time.

so if you're looking to buy this hair check out the link here!

Time for a change | New hair #1

Yes it's time for a change!

Hey guys,

If you saw my little OOTD I put up recently you may have noticed that I have changed my hair.

Starting college I really wanted to try something new, something different.
So what better to try than a bob!
The last time I tried a bob it had to be years ago, I'm talking one of the first weaves I actually did which was like starting secondary school.

So in my hair I have two bundles of 8 inch, I have one in the colour 1B and the other in a mixed colour I can't remember what colour it is but I think it's a 1B and 2 but I'm not certain.

To get my hair looking like this I parted my hair into an L part, then I braided my hair underneath just simply going all back. Next, I sewed in the black weave at the back this came quite high up than expected but it wasn't a problem because my aim was to use both packets of hair on my head.

After sewing in the all black I sewed in the mixed coloured weave and when I had finished with sewing in all the weave I was honestly quite scared, being the first time I've ever had coloured hair I tried my best to go with something as natural as possible but looking at it, it looked very bright and over the top which was basically just putting me off.

In my best attempt of trying my best to rock it and pull it off I straightened my leave out and covered my tracks this really helped tone down the brightness as because my hair is black it pretty much shaded the bright coppery colour, which made it look so much better.

Finally I'm done and I love it, it has definitely made me feel comfortable enough to try out new colours and experiment more.

Look out for my next post another OOTD which will be up soon

Back to school hairstyles | 5 days - 5 ways

Pigtail Braids

To achieve this look I split my hair in half and done a normal braid, once I got down to the end I just secured it with a black hair tie but you can use any colour I've only used black because it's what I have.

After I had complete both braids I used some gel and dax to slick my edges back into my hair and I'm done! This is a easy and simple hairstyle that is very appropriate for school and can quickly be done in the mornings.

Loose, messy beach waves

This is a hairstyle that you have to plan overnight if you want to achieve these really loose, messy beach waves, especially if you want them to last the whole school day.

To get this look I did four messy plaits on my head the night before so that in the morning the waves would hold, then in the morning I used a paddle brush and brushed out the curls a bit also straightening my leave out and a few loose strands just to give it a more messy look.
This look takes up to 10 minutes which is a bonus for getting ready on a school morning.

Side French Plait

This is such a go to hairstyle for me, times when you don't know what to do to your hair and your running out of time it's so quick and simple to do a side French plait and not to mention it looks great!

Firstly I brushed my hair all to one side and tied it with a hair tie then did a French plait changing to a regular plait as I got to the bottom, after that I moved the hair tie down to the bottom and secured it
To finish up the look I pulled at the plait and separated it a bit just to give more of a messy look
and Viola!

Half Up Half Down

Oh I love this hairstyle! No doubt this is one of my favourite hairstyles it's just really princessy and glamorous. This is a type of hairstyle that you do when you have a bit of extra time and really just want to look fab and stand out for school.
To get this look I just started off by taking big sections of my hair and curling it, I didn't really focus on curling it in any particular way. Next I plaited a strand of hair on both sides of my hair leaving out the shortest parts of my front hairs to make it a bit more  messy and free.
Lastly I tie up the two plaits at the back of my head and curl my loose strands and I'm ready to show the world! (well not really the world but you get what I mean).

Inverted ponytail

This hairstyle is soo easy and so quick it takes less than 5 minutes and looks so cute, this is definitely a hairstyle you run to when you've pressed that snooze button one too many times.
To get the achieved look you simply tie your hair up in a low ponytail, separate it just above the hair tie in the middle then this is how you achieve the twisted look, you flip the ponytail through the whole and your done, if you have a hole still in your hair don't worry just simply loosen the hair and move it around. And if you want your hair to look a bit more fancy you can add a few curls to your ponytail but that's completely optional.

So I hope you guys enjoyed this post and got a few hairstyle ideas for when you start school, don't forget to leave a comment and tell me which one of these hairstyles are your favourite.

Get ready with me....Prom night! ♥

Hey girlies...and guys,

Tonight is the night!
It's the day of my prom and I'm going to show you guys how I got ready.
My prom started at 7:30pm, so I started getting ready around 4:00pm

First I had a nice hot shower, threw on my onesie then began to get into the prom experience despite the horrible weather.

 Hair

I decided to start with my hair because I didn't want my makeup to start looking really shiny because I have quite oily skin especially with the heat from the straighteners.
In my head I have 3 bundles, the longest length is 18 inches then a 12 inch then 8 inches, just so it was easier to layer and I wasn't cutting so much hair off. for the front of my hair I was initially going to go with a side part but I didn't want to have a lot of leave out left out so I decided on a centre part, which I also felt was a bit more casual for after the whole prom experience.
My sister did my hair for me and she started by curling my hair from the back forward using straighteners, when she got to the front part of my hair where my part was she used the same technique and curled away from my face.
When she had finished curling my hair we decided on not brushing them out/ finger combing them out until the end just because we were afraid that the curls would not hold well the hold night, in the meantime we used a bit of gel and dax to slick my baby hairs.

Make-up

For my make-up I wasn't really sure, I had not actually planned what I wanted my make-up to look like so my sister pretty much just made it up as she went along.
If you saw my other post on the preparation of prom you would have already seen what my shoes look like and where we got the whole colour scheme from.

For my eye shadow I used my 120 palette and used mostly blues and teals and also a bit of purple to help with blending it out, I also used some glittery silver in the inner tear duct to kind of brighten up the eye.
After that I applied some false lashes, just because I believe that false lashes are a necessity for prom!

For my lips I decided on a simple nude colour just because I thought it would be too much with the bright blue eye shadow so I thought I would tone it down.

The finished look!

Highlight!

Highlight of the night was I won Best heels at prom, I was so surprised and excited just cause it was so unexpected. This was like a reward for my pain, cause when I got home my feet were killing me.

If you would like to see more pictures of my prom night you can check out my instagram here.
Look out for my lookbook post next week
